Ballyroe Heights Hotel: Elevate your wedding!

A great week in Ireland that saw the reopening of hotels last Wednesday to staying guests. Dare we say a beginning of return back to normal? Whatever that might be, but certainly good news for anyone who had been putting event plans on hold. With this firmly in my mind, I continue my tour of County Kerry (Ireland’s premier wedding destination), to venues where I would love to create a ceremony.

My next stop is the enchantingly located Ballyroe Heights Hotel. Elevated above a steep rise on the outskirts of Tralee, the Heights lives up to its name with some of best views in town over the beautiful vale of Tralee.

The hotel has three wedding suite options, and can hold up to 400 guests. My personal favourite is The Ballroom, a beautiful space with mini stage, multiple big windows allowing natural light to pour in, private heated outside seating area and bar. This is closely followed by the smaller Gallery Suite, crescent in shape, with a balcony running the length of the front windows, for the most glorious green views of Tralee.

The hotel reception area contains oversized squidgy sofas (great for late night Prosecco chats), and a photo focal point of shiny grand piano. After your red carpet arrival, you’ll be happy to hang around to get a selfie with the backdrop of those famous green mountains.

As you can see from the picture at the top of this page, the bridal suite is like a fairytale. Those dainty little shoes might fit me!

I have both attended and organised many events at Ballyroe Heights Hotel (Rose of Tralee International Festival events, weddings, parties, after-show parties, charity lip-sync), and can vouch for its fantastic choice of event spaces, amazingly accommodating staff and beautiful backdrop decor.

General Manager Patrick Windle told me the hotel are inundated with wedding enquiries from couples who have had to put everything on hold for the past year, so I’m hoping that I’ll be conducting a ceremony here very soon!
